Annual African Street Festival returns to Jackson Aug. 30
JACKSON, Tenn. — The 34th annual African Street Festival is coming soon.

The event will be from August 30 to September 1.
Live entertainment will feature African dance & drummers, r&b, neo-soul, jazz, reggae, plus blues & gospel music artists.
There will also be African drum classes, children’s hut and activities. Health screenings will also be available.
You’re encouraged to come on out for food, merchandise, vendors and so much more!
“It’s just a big family reunion. We have three days of cultural awareness, three days of entertainment, wonderful bands each night,” said Wendy Trice Martin, president of the Society for African American Cultural Awareness.
