Jayden Milton wins MVP Of The Week

Lets kick things off at the high school level because are MVP  of the week goes to
Jayden Milton. The West Carroll War eagles took things to another level in the season opener against
Gibson county. He had 27 rushing attempts for 238 yards and three touchdowns. He averaged 8.6 Yards per carry
and lead his team to a 38-14 win over the Pioneers. Now the interesting part is that Milton not only plays running back but also
plays wide receiver. However as a running back he is very smart in between
the tackles clearly wants to take it to the house but understands the down
and distance and is all about picking up what the team needs. After a performance
like that its looking like skys the limit for his game. We were able to catch up
with Mr Milton at practice and he spoke about being the MVP of the week,
crediting his offensive lineman and the chemistry they have.

“Aye i feel great you know being put in this spotlight as an underdog in the you know the west Tennessee District you know the teams everybody not expecting us to go crazy so i feel
really good. My O-Line i wouldn’t be able to do it if it wasn’t for my O-Line the boys backing me up
the boys out there we work everyday just the work we put in. The practice before
that actually I mean it was the best practice we had all Summer all Spring all that So i mean our
chemistry we’ve all grown up together playing football so we really just strive to go everybody mentally locked in they know what’s going happen they know the plays they know where its
going to they really know everything.”
He also went on to say he hopes to have over 300 rushing yards in a game this season.
To see him and the war eagles in action they host Harding academy  on Friday at 7:00 pm.
