McKenzie Landon Brown wins MVP of the Week
Let’s start things off with our high school football as we head to
McKenzie TN. Our MVP of the week will go to Landon Brown. The senior put on
a show for the Rebels in a 20 to 13 victory over Chester county. Mr Brown plays both sides of the ball as a wide receiver
and linebacker. On offense he had 4 catches for 52 yards and a touchdown and on defense he had 9 tackles, 5 tackles
for loss and 1 blocked punt. .Remember it was rainy conditions
so it was difficult to move around and run what they wanted but
he was one of the key pieces to leading them. His versatility and ability
to not just play both sides of the ball but also have the I.Q to understand
the game at a high level with everything moving so fast. We caught up
with him at practice and spoke to being voted MVP of the week, playing both
sides of the ball and dont expect this to be the last time he has a great performance take a listen.
I aint done before. I mean it gets tiring but you got the heart to do it you can do it. I mean
i hope to only improve get more touchdowns, receptions, tackles everything i mean
i dont expect that to be my best game.”
Landon looks to have a follow up performance and if you want to
catch him and the Rebels in action they host McEwen on Friday at 7:00 pm.
