Milton Is Now At Powerful Hurricane

Monday Forecast Update

In just about and hour’s time this morning, the pressure dropped 10 mb from 954 to 944 indicating just how fast this system is developing. Winds had jumped from a category 2 at 100 mph to 120 mph, and on to 125 mph. Milton has now intensified more to a category 4 with 150 mph winds and it would not be out of the question to see a category 5 possible by the end of the day. If you have that Fall break vacation planned and plan on going south, please tune in for the latest updates concerning this deadly hurricane.

TODAY:

A cold front has brought much cooler weather to the area. Yesterday, we topped out at a record breaking 91 degrees. Today, in contrast, will top out around 76. Winds will be from the north around 5 to 10 mph under bright sunny skies.

TONIGHT:

Its going to be a much cooler night with fast dropping temperatures to the upper 40s by early Tuesday morning. Clear skies will be the normal with north winds around 5 mph. Some of us may want a jacket in the morning as Fall comes back in full force.

THIS WEEK: 

While parts of Florida deal with a very dangerous hurricane, west Tennessee will have very calm, cooler, and pleasant weather. Highs will again return to the upper 70s with sunshine tomorrow. Wednesday through Thursday look very dry and sunny with a gradual warming trend to 80 on Wednesday to around 85 on Saturday. Sunday will be our warmest day around 86-88.

If you have vacation plans anywhere near Florida, It is wise to keep up to date on the latest with hurricane Milton. As of 8:45 AM, Milton had jumped up to a category 4 with winds at 150 mph.
