Pickleball Tournament concludes in Milan

MILAN, Tenn.—Pickleball players battle it out on the courts in Milan.

The Cooper-Stover Wealth Management Pickleball Tournament took place this weekend in Milan.

The three-day competition hosted by Milan Pickleball Club began Friday with play concluding Sunday.

The event included players from all around local counties and across the U.S.

The tournament was played in round robin format and included singles, doubles, and mixed doubles play.

There was a $55 registration fee to compete and lunch was included for players.

The money raised throughout the tournament will go to support improvements to the nine pickleball courts in Milan.

“We have 184 players this year from 11 states and there’s only one reason they come here, because it’s a fantastic event. We feed them both days, we have lots of door prizes, raffles, and it’s just a fun event,” said Pat Brew, Tournament Director and John Cooper, Premier Sponsor.

The pickleball event was presented by Ameriprise Financial.
