Team of The Week Haywood Tomcats

Let’s start things off in Brownsville TN. As our team of the week will
go to the Haywood Tomcats. They had a big win on Friday defeating Hardin county
with a final of 56 to 7. The Tomcats have been on a roll as of lately winning four in a row.
The team currently sits at 6-1 and has one of the most
explosive offenses in all of Tennessee averaging 40 points.
Guys like Carson Graves and Cam Miller have been leading the charge.
And defensively they have put several teams on notice holding 6
of their opponents to 15 points and under. Haywood has went viral
on several social media sites for their spectacular play and flashy
playstyle We caught up with head coach Josh Puckett and he spoke about
their big win, how impressive the defense has been and that the fans
of the Tomcats play no games. They are ready for a state championship

“Yeah well i thought we played well. We scored every time we had the ball and that sometimes
hard to do no matter who you playing so i thought we were efficient on offense and we took
care of the football so that’s good and we played well on defense. We want to have an attacking
defense we want to play aggressive and get after it you know send blitz send pressures in spots
and make sure you know we’re coming up with the football if we can so we work on forcing turnovers and that’s something we want to do.

Yeah it is what it is we dont dodge that here at Haywood its State Championship or bust and we live by that every year and it’ll be that way until we finally win one.”
