Jackson-Madison County Airport Authority holds board meeting

JACKSON, Tenn. — Leaders with the Jackson-Madison County Airport Authority met Thursday evening for their regular monthly meeting.

There were several items on the board’s agenda to discuss and consider.  One major item was further discussion of a name change for McKellar-Sipes Regional Airport.

Board members voted to file a petition with the FAA to change the name of the airport on the FAA registry to “Jackson Regional Airport.”

The vote was made and passed by the board.
