Vols return to Jackson for championship game
JACKSON, Tenn.—The University of Tennessee Volunteers baseball team returns to Jackson for a championship game.
Fans packed Rockabilly’s Stadium this afternoon for the University of Tennessee Volunteers championship baseball game against the Troy University Trojans.
The event also featured fun opportunities for fans.
Rockabillys’ president Dennis Bastien states this game featuring the national champion Vols, will again bring amazing exposure and prominence to our fine city.
The Rockabilly’s are rolling out the orange carpet to make this one of the most significant sporting events in Jackson history.
“We were excited that the Volunteers brought the national trophy home with them today, so that gave our fans an opportunity to have a photo op and have their picture taken with the national trophy. So it’s a pretty big deal for our fans,” Bastien said.
This isn’t the first time the Tennessee Volunteers played in Jackson.
The team played the stadium in 2022. That game was against the University of Memphis.
