Tennessee Freedom Tour makes stop in Huntingdon

HUNTINGDON, Tenn. — A Freedom Tour makes its way to West Tennessee featuring multiple state leaders for campaign 2024.

State leaders are on the move to meet and greet people all over the region, making a stop Monday in the town of Huntingdon. The Freedom Tour bus visits the colonial tea room along the court square in Huntingdon and they’re on a mission to get voters to the ballot.

“We are going all around the state and all around West Tennessee this week into the election. It’s important to make sure number one, everybody turns out and votes. This is an important election,” said Congressional District 8 Representative David Kustoff.

According to data from election officials and Catalist Edison research, more than 43.5 million Americans have participated in early voting.

“It’s a historic election. The turn outs have been good for early voting but they could be better. So, we want to make sure that everybody gets the message,” said ,” said Representative Kustoff.

Senator John Stevens tells us who’s a part of the Freedom Tour initiative.

“Congressman David Kustoff, myself, Tandy Darby, Brock Martin up and down the ballots. It really just a get out to vote effort,” said Senator Stevens.

Stevens adds where the main focus of this election stands.

“We’ve seen a lot of challenges throughout the state through the immigration issue, through inflation, and people are really wanting a change,” said Senator Stevens.

“You see what they’re getting done at the state level. You see what your locals are doing at the local level and that become the blueprint for what we should be doing in Washington,” said Congressional District 6 Representative John Rose.

The Freedom Tour has made 23 stops and they’re counting on more visits throughout the region before Election Day.
