Boys and Girls Club of Jackson hosts mock election

JACKSON, Tenn. — One program in Jackson creates a fun way to teach their students the importance of voting.

The Boys and Girls Club teams up with the Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority for this mock election. The program set up cardboard booths to simulate how an adult would cast their ballot. Students learned about the importance of the presidential and statewide elections.

They also leaned the values of the democrat and republican parties as well as the 4 roles of government.

This was the first year the Boys and Girls Club hosted a mock election, and over 120 kids joined in the fun.
