HENDERSON COUNTY, Tenn. — The “Naked Burglar” is scheduled to appear in court next Tuesday. Dustan Smith of Lexington is scheduled to appear in Henderson County General Sessions Court on burglary and sexual battery charges Tuesday at 8 a.m. Smith, the Lexington burglary suspect, was arrested yesterday near Flex Drive after a manhunt that lasted nearly 3 hours. Police were called to the scene after a possible sighting of Smith was reported Wednesday afternoon. A deputy saw a man matching his description walking on Paul Coffman Drive. That person then ran into the woods. Smith is accused of breaking into the home of one woman and standing at the foot of her bed naked where she and her 10-year-old daughter were sleeping. In another instance, Smith is accused of climbing on top of a woman as she slept. She said her husband heard her screams and chased the suspect away. Smith is being charged with two counts of burglary and two counts of sexual battery.
