Links Inc. celebrates 60th anniversary
JACKSON, Tenn.—The Jackson chapter of Links, Incorporated are celebrating their 60th chapter anniversary.
As part of the Diamond year celebration the chapter recognizes distinguished individuals and organizations who have been instrumental in their success over the past 60 years.
The Links, Incorporated is an international non-profit corporation established in 1946.
It is one of the nations oldest and largest volunteer service organizations committed to enriching, sustaining, and ensuring the culture and economic survival of African Americans and other people of African ancestry.
“We’re a civic organization of professional women and there are 17-thousand women nationwide that participate in the link incorporated. It’s very special to us because we have been in the Jackson Tennessee area for 60 years. We’re happy that we’ve been able to raise awareness about certain health diseases,” said Dr. Mechelle Moragne, President of Links Incorporated.
