Financial Reality Fair held at South Side High School
JACKSON, Tenn. — Leaders Credit Union hosted a Financial Reality Fair at South Side High School Tuesday.
Students were able to learn practical skills to prepare them for their financial futures.
The community engagement team from leaders provided a budgeting and financial simulation for the students. Volunteers helped run the simulation from various booths.
The hope is to inspire students to make smart money decisions.
“They’ve got a profile that tells them their job, their income and they have to choose where they’re gonna live, what they’re gonna drive and choose all those things that cost money that we have to pay for as adults everyday,” said Shea Brown, director of community impact for Leaders Credit Union.
This was the first time this simulation was held at South Side with close to 200 students able to participate.
