Hostage Situation in Union City Leads to Arrest

UNION CITY, Tenn.- In Union City Wednesday, a kidnapping, hostage situation and high speed chase. That is what police said landed a man in jail. Police said Keith Higgins,23, faces six different counts. He was accused of kidnapping his ex-girlfriend from her home at gunpoint just after 1:30 p.m. Officers chased him into Lake County, where he was arrested. Investigators said a 9mm handgun was recovered. Higgins is now hospitalized, recovering from injuries.
