Annual Farmers Market supports staff at Charter Senior Living of Jackson

JACKSON, Tenn. — Christmas came early this year for employees of a local care facility.

Charter Senior Living of Jackson celebrated their annual Farmers Market earlier Monday. They had fresh produce, thanksgiving extras and other local goods for employees to take home for the holidays — all at no cost. The market featured a variety of local vendors offering seasonal vegetables, fruits, herbs and specialty items.

The Farmers Market serves as a platform for community engagement. It allows them to foster a sense of togetherness among staff members.

“At the end of the day, this is about our staff — this is about our staff because we could not do what we do for our seniors here. And so without them we are not successful. So we just want to do something to say thank you,” said Tina Ayers, director of sales and marketing for Charter Senior Living.

Attendees were also given tote bags to fill with fresh produce and other goodies.
