SWTDD kicks off holiday season with annual open house

JACKSON, Tenn. — The Southwest Tennessee Development District held their annual Holiday Open House Wednesday.

The event was an opportunity for the organization to invite partners, city and county officials, and other workers for a day of fellowship and good food. The Southwest Tennessee Development District holds this event as a traditional kick off of Christmas for the staff.

“It’s our opportunity to say ‘Thank you for what you do for our local citizens.’ And to be able to bring them together and just share memories and look back on the year and look forward to the coming year,” said Joe Barker, executive director for the Southwest Tennessee Development District.

Southwest Tennessee Development District serves 8 counties and 35 cities in southwest Tennessee.
