Boys and Girls Club partners with JPD for ‘Heroes and Helpers’

JACKSON, Tenn. — One nonprofit teamed up with local law enforcement officers for a shopping spree.

Target in north Jackson recently contacted the Jackson Police Department and the Boys and Girls Club of Jackson for ‘Heroes and Helpers.’

15 lucky kids from the Boys and Girls Club partnered with a police officer to spend $100 worth of Target goods.

In total, $1,500 was spent on toys, clothes, sports and even more toys!

“They are very excited, you see big smiles on their faces and they’re all over the store just trying to have fun and spread holiday cheer,” said Sabrina Anderson, CEO for Boys and Girls Club of Jackson.

The Boys and Girls Club is a nonprofit which provides voluntary after school programs for youth ages 5 to 18.
