Documented Gang Member Arrested for Drug Possession

JACKSON, Tenn. — The Jackson Police Department have arrested a suspected gang member man for drug charges Wednesday. Kendrick Rivers was arrested Wednesday at around 10:50 a.m. Rivers was wanted for violation of parole from the Tennessee Department of Corrections, failure to appear in court in Jackson City Court, and for drug violations and evading arrest in Chester County. During the arrest, officers observed marijuana lying in plain view and obtained a search warrant for the property and Rivers‘ vehicle. As a result of the search, new charges of simple possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia were filed in Jackson City Court. Rivers will be arraigned in the City Court of Jackson at 8:00 a.m. Kendrick Rivers is documented as a gang member by the Tennessee Department of Corrections.
