Jackson-Madison County invites parents to bring your kid to the library
JACKSON, Tenn.—And any day is great to take your child to the library! One local library hosts a day devoted to doing just that.
Jackson-Madison County Library welcomes parents and guardians to bring your kid to the library day.
The event offers a day filled with activities and learning all about the local library.
Kids could use the opportunity to learn the process to check out a book or even take time to make a Valentine craft.
And books are not the only items available to take home, the library also offers a variety of educational kits for kids as well.
The event was also a great way for younger audiences to learn more about the various programs the library offers.
These include special activities catered to ages toddler up to adult.
“We’re encouraging people to come to the library today. Check out some books. Read together. They can sit together and do a craft. We have Valentine’s Day crafts for the kids to do. There’s a scavenger hunt they can go around to get familiar with parts of the library,” said Jennifer Kilburn, Children’s Librarian JMC Library.
