Community Foundation of West Tennessee to Award $100,000 in Upcoming Year
Jackson, Tenn. – Community Foundation of West Tennessee is accepting proposals from regional nonprofits for its annual Community Impact Grants. The organization is offering $100,000 in funding to support projects and initiatives that serve West Tennessee residents.
“Community Impact Grants represent our commitment to empowering the critical work of our nonprofit partners,” said Beth Koffman, Chief Operating Officer for the Community Foundation. “By investing in these organizations, we are addressing the diverse needs of our friends and neighbors and creating positive changes for West Tennessee.”
Since inception, over $336,000 has been awarded through this grant program. Previous organizations funded have been in a variety of focuses, including the arts, healthcare, legal services, and more.
In June 2024, the Community Foundation awarded $75,000 to the following organizations:
- All Saints Immigration Services
- Boys & Girls Club of Jackson
- Habitat for Humanity Jackson
- Jackson International Food & Art Festival
- Jackson Symphony Association
- Regional Inter-Faith Association (RIFA)
- United Way of West Tennessee
- WRAP (Wo/Men’s Resource and Rape Assistance Program
“We value the partnerships these grants continue to create and strengthen, and our selection committee is always eager to read more about the nonprofits in our area,” said Haley Fortune, Community Impact Manager for the Community Foundation. “We are thrilled to announce a new cycle of grants for the upcoming year and look forward to learning about the incredible work we can accomplish through this funding.”
The Community Foundation will host an informational meeting about the grant process on February 27, 2025, at their office (74 Directors Row, Jackson, TN 38305). This presentation will offer insight into the proposal guidelines and tips for submitting a great proposal.
The deadline to apply for Community Impact Grants is March 31, 2025. Applicants must be a 501 (c)(3) organization or an active fund of the Community Foundation in good standing. For a full list of eligible counties, please visit the organization’s website.
