West Tennessee man to appear on Tuesday’s episode of Wheel of Fortune

DECATURVILLE, Tenn. — One local man will appear on Tuesday’s episode of “Wheel of Fortune.”

J. Mark Smith from Decaturville went to L.A. in December to record the episode. Smith shares that it was a great experience and that he was surprised to be selected.

Smith states that he’s been a “wheel watcher” his entire life and that he’s always wanted to be on the show.

“Me and my wife were sitting here watching Wheel of Fortune and they come on asking for contestants to apply and I applied and, you know, a few months later I got a call and, after a few interviews and a few zoom meetings, I got selected to come out to L.A. And tape the show,” said Smith, owner of 4 Way Liquor and J. Mark Smith Body Shop.

Smith suggests anyone who wants to be on Wheel of Fortune to take the step and go for it.
