Arrests Made in Store Owner Beating and Robbery

JACKSON, Tenn. — Arrests have been made in last week’s robbery of an antique store and the beating of its owner. Andrew Butler, 24, and Joseph Mitchelson, 27, have been arrested and charged with Aggravated Burglary, Aggravated Assault and Aggravated Robbery in connection with the Uncle Bubba’s Antiques robbery. The pair is accused of entering the antique shop located on Hwy. 45 in South Jackson on September 18 at around 4:15 a.m. According to the investigation, one the suspects entered the residence side of the store, woke up the victim and asked “Where is the Dope?” The suspect then picked up the victim’s walker and hit him several times leaving cuts and bruises. Butler and Mitchelson’s bonds are set at $75,000 each. Their preliminary hearing has been scheduled for October 17 at 1 p.m.
