JACKSON, Tenn. — A man tells police he was shot Wednesday night as he walked along Daugherty Street in east Jackson. The victim told officers just after 6:30 p.m., he heard three shots then realized he had been shot in the back. He was able to make it to his friend’s apartment nearby, where he called for help. Officers on the scene said the victim would have to undergo surgery but is expected to fully recover. No word on the suspect.
