WBBJ Open House and Ribbon Cutting

JACKSON, Tenn. — When you are sitting at home watching the news you see just a small portion of what it actually takes to put on a newscast. Thursday, WBBJ-TV hosted an open house and ribbon cutting for its newly renovated facility. This allowed guests to get a unique behind the scenes look. “It was interesting to see how things were done,” Inv. Jordan Spraggins of the Crockett County Sheriff’s Department said. “We get to see it everyday on the news but we don’t see the work behind it.” Hundreds of guests were invited to tour the state-of-the art facility. Lt. Mike Johnson of the Jackson Police Department who has worked with the news department for more than 20 years said he is impressed with all the improvements. “It is something you’d have to see to believe,” he said. “It’s very impressive that Jackson has this type of stuff to bring the news to us,” Katie Pace with Downtown Jackson Development said. “I’m very impressed with it.”
