Teen in wreck dies; 1 still in hospital
VICKSBURG, Miss. (AP) – A 14-year-old Vicksburg youth has died from injuries suffered in a Sunday night accident in Warren County.
County Coroner Doug Huskey tells the Vicksburg Post (http://bit.ly/1gmSABG ) that Brice Bishop died Tuesday of a brain injury at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson.
UMMC spokesman Matt Westerfield says Brice’s brother, 13-year-old Bailey Chance Bishop, is in critical condition.
Authorities say the brothers and five others were injured when a 2011 Toyota Corolla in which they were passengers ran off a county road, struck a mailbox, crossed through a ditch and a yard before it hitting a tree.
The other five have been released from hospitals.
Sheriff Martin Pace says the accident is being investigated.
