Jackson Christian School kicks off color guard clinicals

JACKSON, Tenn. — One local high school is preparing for the Strawberry Festival.

Jackson Christian School had clinical for their color guard team. Currently, the school is looking to rebuild their arts programs especially color guard and marching band.

These clinics are set to be three days. During the first two prospects are learning the fundamentals and on the final day will be a final evaluation. They are hoping to recruit three girls from grades sixth to eleventh.

“This is more of an evaluation to see how our prospective members can pick up information and how quickly they can learn and to see where we can possibly be heading in the summer. So its more of an evaluation as opposed to an audition,” said Kayla Forsythe, band director for Jackson Christian.

Jackson Christian School will march in the strawberry festival that will be this may.
