Jason Autry appointed counsel in response to court-granted motion
JACKSON, Tenn. — Benjamin S. Harmon has been appointed as counsel for Jason Autry to advise him on his constitutional rights and attorney-client privilege.
In 2024, Autry gained media attention after recanting his testimony in the Holly Bobo murder trial, contributing to a series of new hearings in the State of Tennessee versus Zachary Adams.
On March 21, the Hardin County Circuit Court granted a motion to appoint council for Autry.
The court further directed counsel to file a notice of intent by April 11, indicating whether Autry intends to assert his constitutional rights and whether he intends to waive attorney-client privilege.
According to the Notice of Intent, at this time, Autry intends to assert all protections afforded to him under the United States Constitution and the Tennessee Constitution. Autry also intends to decline to waive attorney-client privilege regarding any requested information related to his former attorneys and agents.
