‘Putt Putt for Prevention’ raises money during Child Abuse Prevention Month

HUMBOLDT, Tenn. — One local event raised money in conjunction with National Child Abuse Prevention Month.

Putt Putt for Prevention 2025 was held Friday morning at 3 Rivers Golf Course in Humboldt. Families, corporations, businesses and individuals gathered on site to putt 18 holes and enjoy food together.

All proceeds raised went to the Gibson County Carl Perkins Center for the Prevention of Child Abuse.

“Donations are appreciated, volunteers are appreciated, throughout the year we do things like teddy bear drives for kids, clothing for kids, and those type things, so just reach out to the Gibson County Carl Perkins Center and they will help you with any way that you wanna help us, we’re ready,” said Ken Tuten, board member for the Gibson County Carl Perkins Center for the Prevention of Child Abuse.
