Carl Perkins Center hosts Exchange Club lunch

JACKSON, Tenn. — The Carl Perkins Center for the Prevention of Child Abuse held an Exchange Club lunch Tuesday afternoon at the Old Country Store.

Attendees heard from Madelyn Hefner, the events and marketing manager for the Exchange Club-Carl Perkins Center.

Hefner presented on Child Abuse Prevention month which occurred all throughout April — with over 185 activities in all the counties of West Tennessee.

Hefner also shared some upcoming events for the exchange club.

“We have our ‘Circles of Hope’ telethon coming up on August 17 from 1 to 6 and then we have our blue suede dinner and auction on February 28 of 2026, and then we’ll have Jackson’s Got Talent again in April. The date is to be announced,” said Hefner.

The winner of this year’s Jackson’s Got Talent performed at the end of Tuesday’s meeting.
