Local doctors recognized for hard work, contributions

JACKSON, Tenn. — A local hospital awards two members of its staff for their hard work in not only the Hub City, but other surrounding counties.

Dr. Kumar was awarded Jackson-Madison County General Hospital Doctor of the Year.

This was decided by his peers for his hard work. For the first time ever, a doctor from Milan, Dr. Downey, was awarded as Community Doctor of the Year.

Along with these award presentations, leaders of Jackson-Madison County General Hospital shared ways to lower employee turnover rate.

They also spoke on a new partnership with Adapt Health.
