Local filmmaker to debut new movie ‘Betray: Thirst’ this weekend

JACKSON, Tenn. — A local independent filmmaker has a new movie that’s coming to streaming platforms.

‘Betray: Thirst’ will premiere this Saturday on Amazon Prime and Apple TV and will soon read to a host of various streaming platforms.

The movie revolves around a married lawyer with a successful practice who crosses the line with a client that affects him both personally and professionally.

It took the Misguided Production group 10 days to film the movie. Filming took place in Nashville and Memphis.

We spoke with the director who tells us what you can expect next.

“I’m starting like an anthology series called the Betray Movie Series and it’s a follow up to the first film Betray, which was based around a coach at Lane College. Had a lot of Jackson roots to it. It did real well and had over 20-million streams worldwide, so hopefully this film can follow up that success and continue that trend,” said Jaron Lockridge, director of Betray: Thirst.
