Flooding impacting local communities with more rainfall on the way
CARROLL COUNTY, Tenn. — Flooding is a concern again in some communities as water continues to rise with the increased rainfall.
Several roads in our viewing area have experienced flooding, and more are expected to flood with the increased rainfall over the night and into the weekend.
One of the areas impacted by the flood waters is in Carroll County, where a wash out has caused the Tennessee Highway Patrol to close the road at State Route 152 near Lavinia Road.
Video below shared by Tracy Williams shows flooding at West Main Street in Huntingdon.
Motorists are encouraged to use caution when driving on roadways in rain and particularly those areas prone to flooding.
If you see water over the road, then turn around. Do not attempt to drive through water that is over a roadway.
