CSX releases statement after train collides with semi-truck in Carroll County
TREZEVANT, Tenn. — First responders are working to clear a railroad crossing in Carroll County after a train collided with a semi-truck just before 4 p.m. Friday.
We reached out to CSX who shared a statement with us regarding the incident.
At approximately 4:42 p.m. ET on Aug. 15, a CSX train came in contact with a semi-truck located near West Main Street in Trezevant, Tennessee. Carroll County first responders were immediately notified. There were no injuries to the train crew. The cause of the incident is currently under investigation.
Officials with the Tennessee Highway Patrol did confirm that the vehicle was not occupied by the operator at the time of the crash.
