MVP of The Week Peabody Edward Agnew

MVP of The Week Peabody Edward Agnew

It’s time for your MVP of the week and it will go to Edward Agnew.
The Peabody junior running back who wears number four and is a linebacker.
This past Friday in the jamboree against South Gibson he had six rushing attempts for
75 yards and a touchdown. In the receiving
game he had one reception 14 yards and a touchdown.
Agnew has a different quickness to his game  on
his 61 yard rushing touchdown he made the linebacker miss in
the hole and then found himself with nothing but space and
opportunity. His stiff arm is also something that’s tough to plan
for being that he throws it up at just the right time so
the defender doesn’t know when it’s going to happen. Now he was a transfer
from Humboldt a while back and dealt with some injuries but is now
healthy and ready to lead the Tide. We caught up with him at practice
and he spoke about being the MVP of the week and what last weeks game
will mean for the team going forward. Let’s hear it.

I feel real good its a blessing so im very excited that i got picked by wbbj and so yeah. I feel good it was a big challenge its big games ahead of us and thats what we needed we just needed big games a big game like that to go against the bigger teams.”
To watch him and the Golden Tide they kick the season off hosting Ripley
this Friday at 7:00 pm.
