According to Carroll County EMA Director Trevor Foster, there were two semi-trucks that crashed into a pedestrian vehicle.

Sources say the driver of the pedestrian vehicle had to be extracted by Carroll County Rescue Squad and other first responders.

This is a Hazmat situation and the road will be closed until the chemicals are cleaned up and they are given the all clear.

Gasoline was leaking from the vehicles, and it is possible there could be other materials or fluids leaking from the contents of the semi-trucks.

The scene drew response from several agencies, including:

  • Carroll County Sheriff Dept
  • Carroll County EMA
  • Carroll County Fire Department
  • Carroll County Hazmat
  • Carroll County Rescue Squad
  • THP
  • TDOT
  • Huntingdon Fire Department
  • Hollow Rock Fire Department

Motorists should avoid this area and find alternate routes. It is unclear at this time when the Hazmat situation will be cleaned up and the road will be given the all clear to reopen.
