Seniors Shocked By East Jackson Shooting

JACKSON, Tenn- Police are still looking for suspects in a shooting that happened early Monday morning. According to Police, shots were fired in an east Jackson home in the 400 block of Deaderick Street. Residents, mainly seniors, said they are concerned for their safety. “I think it’s an outside crowd coming in, walking the streets doing it,” Marvin Reynolds, a resident said, adding that overall his neighborhood is quiet. Police are not sure who the intended target was and no one was injured in the shooting; but residents said something needs to be done. “I hope we can see more police patrol around here,” Reynolds said. Mary Graham, 83, who often sits on her front porch, said she was not worried. “I have God on my side so I can’t be worried about any of this,” Graham said.
