Unveiling held for Sonoco’s new Hub City manufacturing facility

JACKSON, Tenn. — The grand reveal of Sonoco’s Jackson manufacturing facility was held Friday.

Attendees were able to see the $10 million top-to-bottom, two-year transformation, and the city’s official proclamation designating October 3, 2025 as “Sonoco Day.”

While Sonoco produces a wide range of packaging products globally, its Jackson facility focuses on industrial packaging.

“So we’ve added quite a bit of automation, quite a bit of robotics. The partners that we used in doing this renovation and construction, we’re using a lot of local engineering firms, local construction firms. So we are able to multiply the effect of our investments, in that we are supporting the local community and local contractors,” said Elizabeth Rue, VP and general manager for Rigid Paper Containers for North America.

The Sonoco Rigid Paper Container facility is located at 1682 dr. FE Wright Drive, here in Jackson.
