West Tennessee Legal Services to host free clinic for clearing criminal records
JACKSON, Tenn. — West Tennessee Legal Services is hosting free expungement clinics to help residents remove eligible criminal charges from their records.

This clinic is designed to help eligible individuals clear their criminal records, opening the door to better employment, housing, and educational opportunities.
The goal is to raise awareness about the expungement process and ensure that community members understand the resources available to them.
“The biggest thing that they need to bring is themselves. We will screen people for eligibility at the clinic. If you preregister ahead of time or fill out online, we can get a lot of that work done ahead of the clinic, so we can make your time there even quicker,” said WTLS.
Madison County’s clinic is scheduled for April 24, 2026, 10 a.m. through 2 p.m. at the historic First Baptist Church in Jackson. Pre-registration is highly encouraged as space is limited.
