Doctor talks navigating options, saving money amid open enrollment
JACKSON, Tenn. — Open enrollment season is here, and millions of Americans must choose health coverage for next year.
A new survey reveals how easily misleading information can influence these choices.
43% of people say they regret a decision that they made based on bad advice.
One in five people say they were swayed by online creators without medical training.
Dr. Rhonda Randall, the Chief Medical Officer for United Healthcare, gives us more information.
“You want to watch for red flags,” Dr. Randall said. “Someone who is promising you a medical cure or trying to use fear is generally something you want to be suspicious about. The best advice always comes from your personal physicians.”
It is always a good idea to look through the different options, as a change in coverage could help you out tremendously.
