Ballet Arts presents final 2025 “The Nutcracker”
JACKSON, Tenn.—A timeless tradition returns to the stage just in time for the holiday season.
Performances of “The Nutcracker” returned to the Carl Perkins Civic Center this week.
The classic tale of Clara and her magical nutcracker doll started on Friday and ended Sunday evening.
The ballet is presented by the talented dancers of Ballet Arts of Jackson, which is a local non profit organization. Ballet Arts depends on the generosity of donations to continue its mission.
Tickets were sold online or could be purchased at the door. Also proceeds received from the sale of treats at the performance will also be donated to the organization.
“Right after Thanksgiving, it’s been great for families to come and have something to do for their families this weekend. Our dancers have been working since September, so they’ve been working a really long time and they’ve done a fantastic job of continuing the tradition and legacy that goes into this show as we are the longest running “Nutcracker” in the State of Tennessee,” said Caroline Meinhert, Artistic Director at Ballet Arts Jackson.
Ballet Arts will present its rendition of “The Little Mermaid” coming up next year, April 24-26.
