LANA Holiday Home Tour kicks off with ‘Lighting of the Lake’

JACKSON, Tenn. — The Lambuth Area Neighborhood Association (LANA) held its annual Lighting of the Lake Friday evening.

This year’s Lighting of the Lake was sponsored by the Greer Real Estate Group. Lake Campbell’s perimeter is now lined with lovely tea lights gently lighting the lake’s shore. This is the first part of the LANA Home Holiday Tour. The theme this year is ‘Home for the Holidays’.

If you want to see Lake Campbell for yourself, you can find it in midtown Jackson along Campbell Street between North Lake Drive and Crescent Avenue.

The event also featured Jackson Transit Authority’s trolley all decorated for the holidays making a special route through midtown and downtown from 5 to 8pm.

LANA featured eight homes that were open for touring and decked out for the holidays.

The Lambuth area is a historic district that contains about 1,500 homes, apartments, and businesses near downtown Jackson.

Every 20 minutes, JTA’s trolley made stops at every house on the route also stopping at restaurants downtown Jackson.

Horse-drawn carriages also offered rides through downtown Jackson.

If you missed out on attending, there are more events scheduled for 11 am to 5 pm Saturday. Members of LANA say they are thankful for their numerous local sponsors and generous individual donors.
