New risers to be installed at Carl Perkins Civic Center in Jan. 2026

JACKSON, Tenn. — The Carl Perkins Civic Center in Jackson is receiving new risers.

The center is installing new risers to upgrade the facility. The old risers were nearly 50 years old.

New risers are expected to be safer for the community and workers.

“These new risers are more modern than the old risers. They are stable. They will have more safety components as well as convenient for our guys to take them in and out,” said .

The estimated completion date for the project is January 23 and the center is excited to make the facility more accessible.
