Carnegie Center’s annual Christmas party kicks off Dec. 18
JACKSON, Tenn. — The Carnegie Center for Arts and History is hosting their annual Christmas party.
The event will take place Thursday, December 18, with the theme Suede and Blue.

This years theme was inspired by Rockabilly pioneer Carl Perkins and his famous Blue Suede shoes. The collection includes pieces like paintings as well as sculptures crafted from different local artists.

During the party, the museum will be open for free admission to the exhibit as well as a hot chocolate bar with snacks.
“We want to provide great services for the community and we want to make it either free or affordable for people. So if you feel led to support what we’re doing we would love to use your money to really celebrate art, and music, and history, and our community and give people something wonderful to do with their time,” said Aaron Hardin, director of the Carnegie Center.
If you do stop by, the museum invites the community to decorate a fresh ornament for future Carnegie Christmas trees.
