JTA announces 25 cent rides December 23 & 24
PRESS RELEASE FROM THE JACKSON TRANSIT AUTHORITY:
The Jackson Transit Authority (JTA) will have its annual holiday 25¢ cents days, December 23 & 24. All rides will be 25¢ on the fixed route buses and 50¢ on THE LIFT. The low fares will help make gift giving easier on holiday budgets. There will be no policy changes except the fare will be 25¢ and 50¢ instead of the regular fare of $1.25 and THE LIFT of $2.50. No transfers will be given with the 25¢ fare. Student and Senior Citizen/Disabled reduced fares will be accepted with no policy changes. “LIFT” coupons and JTA punch passes will be accepted with no policy changes.
JTA regular fare service will begin back on December 26th. JTA is closed Thursday the 25th for Christmas.
JTA service hours are 6:00 am to 10:30 pm, Monday through Saturday, except holidays. For more information about this and/or time schedules call JTA 423-0200, 8:00AM to 5:00PM, on weekdays.
