Holiday activities continue at Lexington’s Festival of Lights

LEXINGTON, Tenn.—Christmas festivities in Lexington continued Sunday with activities perfect for the entire family.

The Festival of Lights was in full swing beginning at 1 p.m. at 70 1st Street in Lexington.

Activities included shopping with local vendors, bounce houses for the kids to enjoy, ornament making crafts and even ice skating on the specialty rink.

Families could also enjoy a hayride to view the Christmas lights or visit Santa to deliver their last minute Christmas wishes.

“We’re so excited because we have our ice rink, as you can see behind us, and it’s in a new location this year at the new Farmer’s Market. You can get our hours at hctn.org or under community calendar, and also at New Year’s Eve we’ll be doing our 4th annual Balloon Drop at 7 p. m.,” said Kristina Anderson, Executive Director at Henderson County Chamber.

The Festival of Lights kicked off in early December. The ice rink will remain open until January 3. For hours of operation visit hctn.org.
