MARION, Ill. (AP) – A southern Illinois woman is accused of fatally stabbing another woman, then fleeing before ultimately being arrested in Tennessee.
The (Carbondale) Southern Illinoisan reports (http://bit.ly/1f7Sug2 ) prosecutors in Williamson County have charged 30-year-old Tamara Williams of Johnston City with four counts of first-degree murder. One of those counts alleges the killing involved an aggravated vehicular hijacking.
The body of 66-year-old Barbara Beers was found Friday afternoon in a yard just south of Marion.
Williams later was arrested in Lavergne, Tenn.
Online court records don’t show whether Williams has an attorney. She does not have a listed home telephone number.
