Old Country Store continues decades-long tradition with Christmas Eve breakfast
JACKSON, Tenn. — One local restaurant continues a yearly tradition by hosting a Christmas Eve breakfast for the West Tennessee community.

The Old Country Store in Jackson invited West Tennesseans to come out and celebrate Christmas Eve for the 41st year.
The restaurant opened its doors bright and early Wednesday at 5:30 a.m. to start serving breakfast.
This tradition has been ongoing for over four decades, and President of the Old Country Store, Brooks Shaw, says the community’s support is heartwarming.

“This is just a wonderful tradition that a lot of people use when they are starting their Christmas holiday, so we’re very appreciative of the trust they put in us to have a great first day of Christmas,” said Shaw.
The Old Country Store served all kinds of breakfast foods including five meats, lots of sides, several types of gravy, pancakes, and a fruit bar.

They expect to serve around 2,000 people on Wednesday.
We spoke to attendees Samantha Holt and Graicen Steiner, who have a tradition of eating breakfast there on Christmas Eve, and they described their favorite parts.
And Santa Claus even made an appearance and took pictures with guests.
The Old Country Store hopes to continue this event for many years to come.
The restaurant has been in Jackson for 60 years and continues to draw people from all over the country.
