Ring in the New Year with events, fireworks in downtown Jackson
JACKSON, Tenn. — You don’t have to go far to enjoy some incredible New Year’s celebrations Wednesday night.

It is an event that anyone can enjoy all night long in downtown Jackson. Throughout this area, you will be able to find live music, food, fun events, and the best part: an incredible fireworks show to cap it all off.
The Midnight Lights New Year’s event was a big success last year. The safe zone that was created last year with the assistance of the Jackson Fire Department will be expanded this time around. This will ensure that more guests are able to get the perfect view of the fireworks.

Mayor Scott Conger will be leading the countdown as the master of ceremonies, and the light show will begin at midnight at Bicentennial Park, located at 345 West Main Street.
We were also told that it is not your typical 4th of July fireworks show. This is supposed to be a mural in the sky to really showcase downtown and be a beautiful sight to see.

Many options for food and drinks will be open late. Franklin’s Little Bar, Chelle’s BBQ Soulfood, The Downtown Tavern, and Hub City Brewing are a few options.
Of course, Hub City Brewing is hosting a New Year’s Eve party and lip sync battle to benefit Habitat for Humanity. This begins at 9 p.m. And you can just step outside and see all of the fireworks when they go off.

There are plenty of places to park in public parking areas around downtown and it is easily walkable to get where you want to go.

And, of course, the fireworks show is absolutely free to attend and enjoy.
