Firework vendors enjoy success with restrictions lifted in the Hub City
JACKSON, Tenn. — For the first New Year’s Eve celebration in Jackson with fireworks legalized , we checked in at a local tent to see how it’s been going.

Several stores in the area have allowed for vendors to set up tents selling fireworks for the celebration.
Some of these stands have been doing incredibly well.
One stand at the north Jackson Walmart was open Wednesday and planned to stay open as long as shoppers swing by.

TNT Fireworks had some huge deals for buyers to save some money on their celebration plans.
“For New Year’s it’s been going great, yesterday and today we’ve really done quite a bit more than we did the few days before that,” said vendor Michelle Carter. “We will be here tonight until at least 9 maybe 10, it just depends on how sales are going at that point but we can stay as long as 11.”

Fireworks will be permitted until 12:30 a.m., and from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Thursday.
