Here’s what’s happening for New Year’s Eve in West Tennessee
JACKSON, Tenn. — New Year’s Eve is upon us, and West Tennessee is celebrating in a variety of different ways.
The worldwide tradition of marking the end of one year and the beginning of the next is working its way through the community.
At 5:30 p.m., the Jackson Area Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependency located at 900 East Chester Street is providing a safe and sober space for the community.

“A lot of people, not even in recovery, are intoxicated on New Year’s Eve, and so for the folks in residential treatment, it’s important that we not only provide them with tools but also the experience that you can have fun and be sober at the same time,” said Alex McCandless, JACOA Clinical Director.
If you’re looking for something exciting for the kids, Ritz Magic Wheels, located at 1112 Highway 45 Bypass in Jackson, will have a midnight balloon drop filled with tons of prizes.

The event starts at 7 p.m. and tickets include the skate rental, 50 arcade credits, a 2025 swag bag, and more.
“Ah man, lots of fun, games, and excitement, you know I’m new to this area, I also work in Memphis, Tennessee, so hey we’re going to bring the fun were going to bring the excitement we want everyone to come out and just enjoy. A great family fun event,” said Teri Pilate, Ritz Magic Wheels Regional Manager.
Hub City Brewing at 250 West Main Street will also be hosting where proceeds will be generously donated to Habitat for Humanity here in Jackson.

The Hollywood glamour-style event starts at 9 p.m. and guests can expect a lip sync battle and a midnight champagne toast.
Most of these events are on until midnight, so there’s still time to stop by for some fun.
